❤. ღღღ On February 1, 2023 his Beloved Son-in-Law James Michael "Rusty" Massey died. My niece may bury some of his ashes with Jim. They were so close. They all lived on the same 40 acres.

Jim was a Disabled Vietnam Veteran. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and served from 1968 until 1973, reaching the rank of Sergeant. His unit was exposed to Agent Orange. Besides PTSD, he suffered many health issues from his Vietnam experience. Through it all he was a funny, kind, loving and generous man. He read his Bible every day and was the choir leader at his church until his stroke. My Sister was such a wonderful and loving caregiver.

Jim married Paula Shouse on 8 Jul 1967. They had 2 children, Jimmy Dan Jr. born 6 Feb 1969 and Alicia Diane born 29 Mar 1973.

♥ღღღღ♥ He married my beautiful sister, Barbara Sue Peck on 19 Dec 1987 in Clinton, Custer County, Oklahoma ༺⊰❁ ℒℴѵℯ ༺⊰❁

They lived in Clinton for years, where Jim was working as a Car Salesman at Ballard Ford (owned by his brother). He was really good at his job. He had a passion for Mules and owned and broke many over the years. He loved to go on long rides.

When they moved to Fort Gibson, Oklahoma 26 years ago, he and my sister opened up a business called Liberty Auto on Hwy. 62 near the Cherokee Nation outside Tahlequah, Cherokee County, Oklahoma located at the foothills of the Ozark Mountains. They bought and sold cars, trucks, tractors, mules, horses, trailers and all manner of things. That business was very popular and flourished. Finally it was time to retire and enjoy life.

They went on their first cruise sponsored by Harrah's and they were hooked. They went on 14 cruises over the following years. Most to celebrate their Anniversary. Jim said his favorite was on Norwegian Cruise Line to Alaska.

In March 2017 they took Mamma and I on a Carnival Cruise to Freeport and Nassau Bahama's and Key West, Florida. What fun we had. I will always remember it. In April 2018 they took their last cruise to Cozumel with their Great Grandson Dayton and his best friend.

He was a very spiritual and loving man. Everyone who knew him loved and respected him. He will be forever loved and missed. ♥•¨¯'•♥ L٥ﻻ ﻉ√٥υ f٥гﻉ√ﻉг
